KEY FEATURES

Why Health Insurance Is Non-Negotiable

Cashless Treatment at Top Hospitals

Get admitted and treated at any network hospital without paying upfront. Insurance company settles the bill directly — you only pay non-covered items if any.

No-Claim Bonus Builds Your Cover

For every claim-free year, your sum insured increases by 10–50% at no extra premium. Over 5 years, a Rs.5L policy can grow to Rs.7.5–10L automatically.

Daycare and OPD Procedures

Modern plans cover 500+ daycare procedures (no 24-hour admission required), OPD visits, doctor consultations, diagnostics, and teleconsultations.

Maternity and Newborn Cover

Plans with maternity benefit cover normal and caesarean delivery expenses and include newborn baby cover from day 1 within the policy. Waiting period applies for maternity.

Mental Health Treatment Cover

IRDAI regulations now mandate mental health treatment to be covered at par with physical ailments. Includes hospitalisation for psychiatric conditions.

Pre-Policy Medical Check Review

We review your health conditions before recommending a plan — so you know exactly what will and will not be covered, avoiding claim rejection surprises.

THE PROCESS

How It Works

1
Understand Your Coverage Needs

Share your age, family composition, city, and any pre-existing conditions. We recommend sum insured levels based on your city's hospitalisation costs and health history.

2
Compare Plans

We compare plans from HDFC Ergo, Niva Bupa, Star Health, Care, and others on premium, network hospitals, exclusions, and claim settlement ratio.

3
Apply Online with Health Declaration

Complete the proposal form online with honest disclosure of health conditions. We review before submission to ensure accuracy and completeness.

4
Policy Issued — Coverage Starts

Policy document arrives electronically within 24–48 hours. Cashless hospitalisation is available immediately; waiting periods apply for pre-existing conditions.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much health insurance is enough?
For a metro city like Mumbai, Delhi, or Hyderabad, minimum Rs.10 lakhs individual cover is recommended. A single hospitalisation for cardiac surgery can exceed Rs.8–12 lakhs. Family floater plans should be at least Rs.15–25 lakhs sum insured. We assess your city-level hospitalisation costs and recommend the right amount.
What is not covered under health insurance?
Standard exclusions include: pre-existing diseases during waiting period, dental and vision treatment (unless due to accident), cosmetic procedures, self-inflicted injuries, pregnancy during initial waiting period, and alternative medicine (AYUSH) in basic plans. We review the policy wordings carefully to flag any unusual exclusions before you buy.
Can I buy health insurance for my parents separately?
Yes, and it is strongly advisable because adding elderly parents to a family floater plan raises premiums significantly for the entire family. Separate senior citizen plans (age 60+) are designed for their needs and cost less in the long run, especially as they age. We help you compare the two approaches for your specific family composition.
What happens if my insurer denies a cashless request?
Cashless denials do not mean the claim is rejected — you can pay the hospital and file a reimbursement claim within 30 days of discharge. Most cashless denials are for procedural reasons (wrong diagnosis codes, pre-authorisation delays). We help you navigate claim disputes and escalate to IRDAI if needed.
Is health insurance premium affected by age?
Yes, significantly. A Rs.10L individual plan costs approximately Rs.8,000 per year at age 25, Rs.15,000 at age 40, Rs.30,000 at age 50, and Rs.60,000 at age 60. Buying early locks in lower premiums and avoids pre-existing condition loading. Each year of delay permanently increases your base premium — there is real cost to waiting.
