KEY FEATURES

Why Comprehensive Motor Insurance Matters

Third-Party + Own Damage Cover

Third-party insurance (mandatory by law) only covers damage to the other party. Comprehensive insurance additionally covers your own vehicle against accident, theft, natural disaster, and vandalism.

Zero Depreciation (Nil Dep) Cover

Without nil dep, insurers deduct depreciation from repair claims — meaning you pay a portion even with insurance. Zero dep add-on ensures full claim payment on parts without depreciation deduction.

24/7 Roadside Assistance

Breakdown? Flat tyre? Battery dead? Get on-call roadside assistance anywhere in India — towing, fuel delivery, key lockout help, and minor repairs at no claim cost.

Cashless Repairs at 4,500+ Garages

Drive to any authorised network garage and get repairs done without paying upfront. The insurer settles the approved bill directly with the garage within 24–48 hours.

No-Claim Bonus (NCB) Protection

Accumulate up to 50% discount on own-damage premium over 5 claim-free years. NCB protection add-on lets you make one small claim without losing your NCB.

5-Minute Digital Renewal

Renew or buy motor insurance online in 5 minutes. Upload your vehicle RC and previous policy. Instant approval, instant issuance — fully paperless.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is comprehensive motor insurance mandatory in India?
Third-party insurance is mandatory under the Motor Vehicles Act for all vehicles. Comprehensive insurance (which includes third-party plus own-damage cover) is not mandatory but strongly recommended. Third-party alone does not cover any damage to your own vehicle, leaving you fully exposed to repair and theft costs.
What is IDV in motor insurance?
Insured Declared Value (IDV) is the current market value of your vehicle — the maximum amount the insurer will pay if your vehicle is stolen or declared a total loss. IDV reduces each year with the vehicle's depreciation. Setting the right IDV is important: too low means inadequate theft/total loss compensation; too high unnecessarily inflates your premium.
What is the No-Claim Bonus (NCB) and how does it work?
NCB is a discount on your own-damage premium for every claim-free year. It starts at 20% after 1 claim-free year and grows to 50% after 5 consecutive claim-free years. NCB belongs to you, not the vehicle — you carry it when you change insurers. A single claim resets the NCB to 0%, which is why NCB protection add-on is valuable.
Should I claim for every small dent or scratch?
For small repairs under Rs.5,000–10,000, consider not claiming if you have accumulated significant NCB. A single claim can erase 3–5 years of NCB accumulated discount. Calculate the break-even: if the NCB you lose is worth more than the repair cost, it is better to pay out of pocket. We help you make this calculation.
Is motor insurance premium negotiable?
Third-party premium is fixed by IRDAI and is the same across all insurers. The own-damage portion varies and you can compare across insurers for savings. Add-ons like zero depreciation are priced differently. Bundled packages may offer better overall value. We compare total cost of ownership — not just the base premium.
